Run for Her
September 27, 2025
Run for Her is a initiative based in Collingwood, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for ovarian cancer through unique trail races and community events. Founded in 2020 by Alicia Tone, the organization has grown from a solo half-marathon into a powerful movement that unites local participants, patients, and corporate partners to support Ovarian Cancer Canada. With a symbolic registration fee of $31 reflecting the annual number of Canadian women diagnosed, Run for Her has raised over $68,000 to fund critical research, patient support, and advocacy efforts. More than just a race, Run for Her empowers women to share their stories, engage the community, and inspire change, all with the goal of improving outcomes and ultimately ending ovarian cancer.
Participants can choose to run or walk one of 4 distance options on the beautiful Bruce Trail: 5 km, 10 km, 21 km or 31 km. All genders, paces and skill levels are welcome (as are furry companions).
